My Review
These new Rare Beauty Lip Oils are an instant hit with me and I can see them being a sell out success straight away.
The range of shades is stunning, as always with the Rare lip products, but what makes them really special is how long lasting the colour is. The lip oils almost have three phases; initial application is a mousse-like gel, this then transforms into a shiny gloss, and when the gloss fades, you are left with a very long lasting stain.
I tested the deepest shade, Affection, for about 4 hours, and the colour did not fade at all. I even used a clear lip balm on top of it, and the intensity of the stain remained the same.
Once the colour has set down, there is no transfer, so you can pretty much trust that your lip look is going to stay constant all day. It’s brilliant.
I actually did the arm swatches pretty quickly and removed them fast, and they still left a stain on my arm!
It’s a very impressive formula. It is really nice and comfortable on the lips, and it never feels heavy or sticky. It’s just fabulous. There are usually a few shades in a collection that I wouldn’t wear, but I genuinely love all of these Rare Beauty Lip Oil shades.
My favourites are Hope, Joy, Honesty and Affection. But as I said, they are all winners.
