Next time we go to a museum, I’d love to try this idea from Ali LaBelle: “A little thing I like to do sometimes (especially when I’m in portrait galleries) is to look for themes within the artwork. I don’t mean conceptual themes, but more like consistencies within the paintings, e.g., shoes or animals or stripes. This time I looked for bows.”
I also like Ali’s Instagram, including her pic of a Heather Taylor tablescape (and my solo dinner inspo for tonight, along with a chunk of gruyere).
Do you ever wear track shorts? They feel so cool and ’70s, and they’d be perfect for knocking around on summer weekends or by the pool. Three versions: colorful, mesh, classic. Also, these super cuties for kids!
Last but not least, when my sister and I were in Sonoma last month, we ran into a friend who lived there. She ended up rooting around in her freezer and handing us each a lime popsicle. And, omg, on a warm afternoon, nothing felt more refreshing. Going to stock up for this summer or maybe make our own.
